I've been involved in FUSO and TSA, two clubs, which I'm glad I joined because of the camaraderie and sincerity towards it causes. The people I've met so far are awesome and I'm excited to see what unfolds later on in the future for both of them. Even though, I haven't been to actual party this year, I feel I'm more involved socially and am making more friends that I did last year. My roommates and I have been hanging out with each other for the most part and that has strengthened our bond as friends. I'm really having a great year so far and hopefully it continues in this direction. Until next time folks!

Life Thus Far
I'm horrible at updating my blog, so I apologize to everyone who has been waiting for a new post from me. My life has been fantastic up to this point in time. My classes and my extracurricular activities have kept me quite busy but I've managed to have a social life outside of it as well. USD Radio is finally official, which I am grateful and very thankful. I'm so glad that the administration allowed us to have a radio station on campus and I can't wait to jump start Audiophiles Anonymous. I've been writing for the USD Vista since the beginning of school. The experience over there has had its ups and downs, especially my qualms with my editors, who don't seem to edit or create titles for articles that relate to my story. Hopefully this time around, they'll be able to get it right as I'm currently working on a feature taking about Iran and its launching of its long range short missiles, which apparently have the capability of shooting Israel.

First Week and a Half
I definitely need to prioritize my life so I can update everyone more often about my life at USD. The first week and half of school has flown by rather quickly. So far, everything has been great. All of my classes have been really thought provoking and I'm enjoying every one of my professors. The semester seems to have started on the right foot. The best part of it so far is meeting new people and forming friendships with people that I didn't expect would become my friends. I've been mostly preoccupied with school work but I'm starting to think about this girl that's in my econ class. Her name is Jeannette Benavides. Of all the fond memories I've had of Jeannette, the one I remember most from last semester would not be considered fond. However, this semester, we've seem to hit it off as friends, a suprise to myself and my friends. She's one of the nicest people I've met at USD. She's smart, funny, but really focused on her schoolwork. Everyone I know seems to be skeptical of her because of past instances, but from what I've gathered, she's nothing what people say about her. She's sincere and overall a great person to be around with.
This upcoming week for me will be extremely busy for me since quizzes and tests are about to start popping up in my classes. Hopefully the week manages to fly by again and the next time I open my eyes, the weekend will appear. To all those who read and enjoy my blog, I will make sure to write on a daily basis but if not, I will continue the trend that I used while I was at USC and write a new entry every 3 or 4 days.

It Feels Good to be Back
It feels like a relief to be back in college. The apartment that me and 3 other guys are sharing is incredible. I had no idea it would be this big, I figured it would be the same size as my previous dorm room. It has bathroom that me and my roommate will share, instead of having 10 people sharing one and the closet space is 5 times larger than before. This time around I didn't have to bring all of my things including a microwave, minifridge, book shelves, etc. I'm living in Palomar 128 and I have to tell you it has a gorgeous view of the courtyard. My neighbors seem to be very nice and I'm looking forward to meeting them all since I believe most are girls.
With only one day left to relax and fix our scattered brained sleeping schedules, I'm going to make the most of it and hopefully have a chance to go to the beach with my friends. Although, my apartment is rather far away from campus, I'm looking forward to the long walk and getting some well-needed exercise. It's going to be a good semester and I can't wait to start it off with a bang tomorrow. I'm also excited to look at the USD Radio Station equipment and USD Vista, which is currently located in the new SLP building. With school combined with my radio and weekly column gig, its going to be one busy semester, but a very enjoyable one at that.

Back to School
The last minute vacation my parents threw together was amazing and I'm glad I was able to visit Heart Castle and Monterey Aquarium. However, the time has finally arrived and by tomorrow morning I will have moved in to my new apartment in USD. I'm very excited to get back and see all of my friends and ask them about their summers. It also will enable me the chance to look at all the changes USD has been surrounded by ever since my last final in May. I'm looking forward to getting back on the horse and starting classes once again. My schedule looks great and from what I've gathered from ratemyprofessor.com, every single one of my professors are awesome and earnest educators. I've set several goals for myself this semester and I'm looking forward to fulfilling each and every one of those.
Although summer is coming to an end, I really have to say that this has been one of the best summers I've had. I was able to accomplish so many things: getting my driver's license, amazing 6 week summer film course at USC, and travel around the California coastline with my parents. I will sure miss staying up at late and sleeping at an obscene hour and hanging out with Louis and Aaron but, I know its time for me to return to school and do some real damage in the classroom as well as DJ'ing and writing.

One Week Until School
I've anxiously been awaiting for school to start for quite some time. The hoopla of my summer, which included working for my parent's company and attending a 6 week summer film course at USC, has tailed off a bit and now I'm just counting down the days until my sophomore year begins. Thankfully, I will be going on a vacation with my parents that will take me to Santa Barbara, Monterrey, and San Francisco. The time spent will undoubtedly unwind any thoughts I've had lurking inside and also be a great way to spend my last week of summer. This particular summer has been one of the greatest summers I've had but, I'm itching to get back to college and reenergize myself and focus my attention towards improving my grades but also, hanging out with my friends whom I've been away from for 3 months. As my mother always says, "The best years of your life are spent on a college campus", and with only 3 years left, I'm going to make the most out of my experience as a student here at USD.
Sophomore year will be an improvement nonetheless on all fronts, both socially and academically. I'm extremely looking forward to hosting my own radio show (Lyrical Mindstate) and writing for the USD Vista. It will be a jam packed semester with me taking 5 classes and as well as juggling USD Radio and Vista at the same time. However, I find these things to my enjoyment and I'm very passionate about both of these endeavors. On an academic side, I'm looking to boosting my GPA and working harder to better myself in school but also in life, given that opportunities are attained with good grades but also, personality and how you communicate with others. In all, I can't wait to inhale the musky air that is the University of San Diego and everything it offers me to succeed in my field of study.
